We are excited to share with you the Sea to Sky School District's Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Calendar for the 2023/24 school year. This calendar serves as a guide to recognize and celebrate a wide array of observances and events that highlight the diverse backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives that enrich our educational journey. Every month, we will spotlight the observances and events specific to that month. Check out September, which includes Yom Kippur on September 24th and 25th, as well as National Truth and Reconciliation Day on September 30th.

Today is International Women's Day, and it is a significant opportunity to recognize and celebrate the achievements of women throughout history and around the world while also highlighting the ongoing struggle for gender equality. This year's theme for International Women’s Day (IWD) 2023 is Every Woman Counts. It’s a reminder that all women from all ages and walks of life have a place in every aspect of Canadian society, including in the economic, social and democratic spheres.
